Richard Johnson - Profile
Future Stars Assistant Coach Richard Johnson played first class cricket as a batsman/wicketkeeper for Warwickshire and Derbyshire for eight years.
He developed through the Warwickshire system from the age of 11 and played in the team that won the CB40 final in 2010.
During his career Richard was fortunate enough to win both the County Championship Division 1 and County Championship Division 2 in 2012, and in 2010 was a member of the Clydesdale Bank One Day Competition beating Somerset CCC in the Lords Final.
At the end of the 2014 season he decided to call time on his professional playing career and worked as assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Warwickshire CCC, where he worked closely with the First Team squad and Academy players.
Now located in Melbourne where he will be studying Sports Science at RMIT University we are extremley happy to have a coach of his calibre and experience working within the Future Stars Family.
Richard will also be acting as our High Purpose player coordinator ensuring professional athelets time with us is as productive and rewarding as possible.
I am really excited to be part of the Future Stars family and can't wait to try and help create a unique and inspiring environment.
